How to Achieve The Trending 'Hailey Bieber' Nails
Hailey Rhode Baldwin Bieber- supermodel, wife to famous pop icon Justin Bieber, and bearer of chic, elegant-looking nails. Enter "Hailey Bieber Nails 2022" on Google, and you'll find countless tutorials of this viral nail trend.
Also known as the Glazed Doughnut Nails, the Hailey Bieber Chrome Nails was first created by L.A.-based celebrity nail artist Zola Ganzorigt. Among her famous clientele are Vanessa Hudgens, Sydney Sweeney, and Sabrina Carpenter.
When asked about her inspiration for the popular nail trend, Zola Ganzorigt told Vogue that the design was created ahead of the 2022 MET Gala to match Hailey's favorite skin look- a dewy and flawless skin that almost looks like a glazed donut.
Step 1: Apply a Nail Base and Let Dry for 30 Seconds to a Minute.
According to Ganzorigt, the trick to nailing the Glazed Donut Manicure is to use a base coat for nail powder that doesn't turn yellow when you cure it. Start by applying a thin layer of OPI Gelcolor in the shade Funny Bunny and cure for 60 seconds. Next, apply one coat of OPI Gelcolor Stay Strong Base Coat and cure for another 30 seconds.
You can also use OPI Infinite Shine long-wear nail polish in the shade 'Throw Me A Kiss' over a layer of Color Dept Top Coat for a sheer, iridescent look.
Step 2: Brush on Pearly White Nail Polish (I Used Sally Hansen Color Therapy Nail Polish in Well, Well, Well).
For your top coat, you can use any kind of regular nail polish in a pearly white shade. To achieve the glazed donut nail for Hailey, Zola used OPI GelColor Stay Shiny Top Coat, but Sally Hansen Color Therapy Nail Polish in Well, Well, Well is more readily available online.
Let the top coat dry and cure under an LED lamp for 60 seconds, then wipe down the nails with an alcohol pad.
Step 3: Gently Pat on Ownest Iridescent Chrome Nail Color With a Sponge Brush.
Now, for the trickiest and most exciting part. Apply OPI Chrome Effect Mirror Shine Nail Powder in Tin Man Can with a small brush. If you can't find the original Tin Man Can, you can use dupes such as Ownest Iridescent Chrome Nail Color or even a pearl-finish white eyeshadow.
When applying your chrome powder, make sure not to press down too hard to avoid smudging your polish.
Step 4: Finish With One More Layer of Top Coat.
Finish the look by applying a layer of OPI Infinite Shine ProStay Primer and Gloss, then let it dry and cure under an LED lamp for 60 seconds.
All in all, it's super easy to get the glazed nail style. It's also great to experiment with different colors using chrome finishes!

Other Nail Polish Ideas from Hailey Bieber
I guess you could say that our friend Hailey is one famous nail art connoisseur. Just this fall, Bieber debuted the chocolate glazed donut nails. It has the same pearly finish as the original glazed donut manicure but a brown hue more appropriate for the fall season.
1. Daisy Nails
This sweet and dainty nail trend is a summer must-try. Start by shaping your nails and applying a base coat to DIY this nail look.
Paint your nails with your chosen background color or opt for nude nails for a simpler look and allow them to dry. Next, using a toothpick or a dotting tool, draw five dots to shape the daisy's petal.
Using the same tool but a different nail color, place a dot in the center of each flower and finish the look with a layer of clear polish.
2. Neon Chrome Nails
Chrome nails always look fierce and edgy. No wonder why bad girl bosses love this look. Replicate this look by following steps 1 to 2 for Zola's Glazed Doughnut Nails. For step 3, choose a brightly-colored chrome powder polish and finish it off with a layer of top coat.
3. Bubblegum Pink Nails
Bubblegum Pink Nails is the perfect match for the clean girl beauty look. This look was also seen in another famous celebrity Justin Bieber dated before Hailey. I'm pretty sure we all know who that is.
4. Black and Green Nails
This is giving Y2K vibes. Inspired by pop Icon Britney Spears, Hailey sported this look last Halloween when she recreated Spears' schoolgirl costume in her "Baby One More Time" music video. Nothing says girl boss than black nails with a green-tinted overlay.
5. Pink Ombre Nails
Tired of single-color nails and French tips? Pink Ombre Nails feature a slightly darker rosy hue and create a feminine and cute look.
Other Celebrity-Inspired Nails You Might Want to Try
Okay, enough with Hailey. Here are some more awesome nail designs as seen on other Hollywood celebrities:
1. French Gradient Manicure by Kylie Jenner
Made famous by makeup mogul Kylie Jenner, the French Gradient Manicure takes the classic off-white and pink color of the well-known French manicure and gives it a creamy ombre look.
2. Yellow Dipped Nails by Bella Hadid
Another playful take on the French manicure is that this nail look uses a bright-yellow nail polish color in place of the white tips for a more modern yet classy look.
3. Bedazzled Manicure by Lizzo
Sported by bad girl Lizzo, this look is perfect for every queen bee. It's your basic French Manicure made extra with rhinestones. It's 'About Damn Time" you try this look.
4. Crystal Gemstones by Nicola Coughlan
Do you want to look like the flashy mistresses of Netflix's Bridgerton? This look from Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan uses a generous sprinkling of crystal gemstones over a top sheer coating of neutral base polish.
5. Silver Sparkly French Tips by Serena Williams
French tips but make it fitting of an Olympian champion. Replicate this look by applying a generous coating of OPI Nail Lacquer in Spark de Triomphe over a clear base coat.
Frequently Asked Questions
Here are more tips to help you get the most out of your manicures:
How much should one spend on grooming nails?
An average nail salon charges $20 to $30 for a manicure, but booking in higher-end spas will cost you $45 to $80. If you're doing it yourself, you can spend way less.
Is it better to DIY your nails or have a professional do it?
I recommend doing it yourself if you're only doing a regular manicure without the nail art; If you don't know how to properly groom your nails or want complicated nail art done, booking an appointment with a professional nail artist would be better.
How much of an impact do nails have on my overall aesthetic?
Clean nails are a part of perfect hygiene, and dirty ones don't really scream 'classy,' do they?
Should my manicure always match my pedicure?
For a more put-together look, I recommend matching your manicure with your pedicure, but this is a free country, so you do you.
